Local artists will face off in a head-to-head battle, creating original artwork live in front of an audience with just 90 minutes on the clock. Using only black paint and no reference material, artists will improvise in real time while the crowd watches the creative process unfold and votes to determine the winner.

Hosted in partnership with local businesses and community organizations, RUMBLE WALLS transforms the act of making art into a live spectator event—part competition, part performance, and part community gathering. The evening will also feature food trucks, music, and commentary from two of Des Moines’ funniest comedians serving as referees for the battle.
